In the fall of 2018 the Conservancy discussed the refurbishment of the flagpole in Grady Park. We discussed this with the D&H Museum, and they readily agreed to the idea. We contacted Harry Jansen to see what could be done. Harry and Dick Stokes took a look at it, and determined that it would be better to move the flag than to repair the pole in place. (This is because of the Rosendale Cement that is the foundation underneath the millstone base of the current flagpole.) Harry generously donated this beautiful US Flag for flying at Grady Park when the project is completed. THANK YOU, HARRY, FOR YOUR THOUGHTFUL GIFT TO HIGH FALLS!
